Close liaison with leading chefs and foodwriters led to substantial coverage in the media for Bramley at the start of the new season.
Highlights of the coverage included Brammy Award-winning TV chef Phil Vickery cooking Lancashire Cheese and Bramley apple pie for 2 million viewers on ITV’s This Morning.
National newspapers and magazines also featured Bramleys widely, including quick and easy recipes in People’s Friend; Apple & Blackberry Crumble Cake in Essentials; an entire apple feature in Good Housekeeping; an Apple, Pear and Amaretti Tart in Woman and Home; Tana Ramsay featured an Apple Cake in The Daily Mail Weekend; Rose Prince featured a Blackberry and Apple Crumble in the Telegraph Magazine; baked Bramley apples were featured in BBC Easy Cook and Sainsbury’s Magazine; and the bicentenary was featured in The Lady.
The Bramley Campaign served hot Bramley apple pie throughout the two days at the 75th National Fruit Show at the Kent Showground in Detling in October.
